Fighting The Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline: The Start of the Sit-Ins and Arrests

Saturday, August 20, kicked off the beginning of sit-ins scheduled for the next two weeks in Washington, D.C.

On the first day, over 70 brave men and women were in arrested, including protest organizer Bill McKibben.
Protestors are risking arrest to fight against the Keystone XL pipeline.  The hope is that President Obama will reject a permit for the pipeline.
